I just finished the entire nail gun camo grind in Black Ops 6 and thought I’d share a breakdowbuy bot lobbies bo6n for anyone looking to do the same. This weapon is super fun to use, but the camo challenges are no joke. Here's what I did:

Start with Base Kills (Eliminations):

The first few camo sets are just raw kill-based. You’ll need to rack up hundreds of kills. I suggest smaller maps like Shipment-style equivalents in BO6 or chaotic 24/7 playlists. Use Tactical Sprint perks and move fast. You’ll finish the “Woodland” and “Classic” style camos this way.

Hipfire Kills:

The Nail Gun is a projectile weapon, so hipfiring is solid in close quarters. Equip a laser and recoil-control attachments. Play Domination or Hardpoint and rush objectives.

Kills After Reload, From Behind, and While Moving:

These are tricky, but you can chain them. Equip Sleight of Hand, use cover wisely, and flank a lot. Combine challenges to save time.

Headshots & Multikills:

You can’t get headshots in the traditional sense since it’s a special weapon, but some challenges act like headshot replacements—“Precision kills” or “one-shot kills,” for example. Multikills are the real grind. Hardcore helps because one nail = one kill. Time your shots well and target groups.

Zombies Mode Progression:

Some camos are Zombies-specific (like Pack-a-Punch kills, special enemy types, or getting kills while affected by perks). These are way easier than Multiplayer camos. Zombies is the perfect break from PVP stress and still progresses camo.

Mastery Challenges:

Gold, Diamond, and Ultimate camo (Dark Aether or Orion-style) require full completion of every prior camo category. You’ll need to use the Nail Gun across multiple game modes to get there.

Final tip: Use the new Camo Tracker tool added in the BO6 HUD—it lets you track 10 active challenges at once. Super helpful.
